DAY 1
Arrival in Srinagar
Cool summer breeze, alpine scenery and romantic houseboats afloat on the serene Dal Lake – are just some of the things awaiting you on this exciting holiday in Kashmir. You would arrive at the Srinagar Airport and be greeted by a MakeMyTrip representative outside the airport who would assist with your transfer to the hotel or houseboat (as per your booking) in Srinagar. Check-in and unwind for a while before heading for a Shikara ride (own expense) at Dal Lake for a calm and soothing experience; you could avail the ride on a direct payment basis. End the day with a comfortable overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 2
Srinagar to Sonmarg: (80 Kms /2-3 Hrs) One side – Day excursion
After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Sonmarg which is situated at a height of 2740 meters, and is at a distance of 82 km which takes about 3 hrs to cover (one way). Relish a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. You can enjoy sightseeing to Thajiwas Glacier or other sightseeing points. Later, return to Srinagar after your excursion. In the evening, enjoy a comfortable overnight night stay at the hotel in Srinagar Please note that at Thajwas Glacier, Zero Point, Baltal personal cabs are not allowed but hired taxis from local unions can be taken on direct payment basis.
DAY 3
Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast this morning you would check-out from the hotel in the morning and head to the Srinagar airport. Due to the extremely strict security measures at the airport during peak season, you are requested to leave for the airport at least 4 hours prior to your flight?s departure. Do note that there are 4 security barriers to pass before reaching the airport, and there are regular traffic jams near the airport as well. Hence providing additional time to reach the airport becomes necessary. Head back home with wonderful memories of a lovely time spent at the ?Heaven on Earth?.
