DAY 1
Arrival in Srinagar
Cool summer breeze, alpine scenery and romantic houseboats afloat on the serene Dal Lake – are just some of the things awaiting you on this exciting holiday in Kashmir. You would arrive at the Srinagar Airport and be greeted by a MakeMyTrip representative outside the airport who would assist with your transfer to the hotel or houseboat (as per your booking) in Srinagar. Check-in and unwind for a while before heading for a Shikara ride (own expense) at Dal Lake for a calm and soothing experience; you could avail the ride on a direct payment basis. End the day with a comfortable overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 2
Srinagar
“Start this day with breakfast at the hotel. Then head out to explore the scenic town of Srinagar. Start the sightseeing tour by visiting the famous Mughal Gardens: Cheshma Shahi (Royal Spring), Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), which were laid out by the Mughals in the 16th century. Then visit the Shankaracharya Temple, located on a hillock it renders beautiful panoramic views of the entire city and the famous Dal Lake and River Jhelum. Later visit the handloom centre famous for the production of Pashmina and Shahtoosh shawls and world famous carpets. After a day of exploration, enjoy a comfortable stay at the hotel in Srinagar. Please note that entry tickets for monuments or any other sightseeing points are not included.
DAY 3
Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast this morning you would check-out from the hotel in the morning and head to the Srinagar airport. Due to the extremely strict security measures at the airport during peak season, you are requested to leave for the airport at least 4 hours prior to your flight?s departure. Do note that there are 4 security barriers to pass before reaching the airport, and there are regular traffic jams near the airport as well. Hence providing additional time to reach the airport becomes necessary. Head back home with wonderful memories of a lovely time spent at the Heaven on Earth.
